12-16 Tonne Bear Claw Excavator Forestry Grab – BC570

The Bear Claw forestry grabs are specifically designed for the UK and Irish markets, with heavy-strength HB450 reinforced legs, internal guide bars, high-pressure cylinders, line-drilled pivot areas, bushes, and hardened greaseable pins throughout. The BC570 is the biggest model currently available in the Bear Claw lineup, weighing 610 kg (without hitch and headstock). It is the go-to model for any 13/14-tonne excavators, such as a Volvo EC140 or JCB JS130, running with industry-standard 65 mm pin quick hitches (alternative pin measures can be supplied).

This grab is available in two configurations: non-rotating/fixed, which runs solely on the excavator’s double-acting hydraulic hammer circuit, and full 360-degree rigid rotation (dual auxiliary services required on the excavator). Please be aware that hydraulic hoses are not provided as standard with this grab.

The BC570 non-rotating/fixed design comes with a standard 2-pin quick headstock or two-way cross link (depending on the excavator), allowing the grab to be utilized in any mode. Rotating variants come with a high-quality forestry rotator and a regular two-pin headstock.

The Bear Claw excavator forestry grab series is suited for scrub, brash, general clearing, and other forestry-specific applications.

Please be aware that this attachment does not come with hoses as normal. Although we normally recommend having these built once the machine is installed to ensure a proper length, you can order them by visiting our Hydraulic Hoses & Couplers page. When ordering hoses to accompany an attachment, our team will ensure that all hoses are the correct size and have all necessary fittings to fit the attachment (and couplers if needed). You will need to decide the hose length and coupler size that you need.
